Rooftop bars in Saigon: five that are actually open

A lot of "best rooftop bars in Saigon" lists still include places that have shut. These five have working official pages and were operating in 2026.
Before you go
- Menu prices usually exclude tax and service. Expect 10–15% on top. Blank Lounge, for example, adds 10% VAT and 5% service.
- Sunset is around 5:30–6pm all year. Arrive by 5pm if that's what you're there for.
- Rainy season runs May to November and evening downpours are common. Outdoor decks can close at short notice, so a bar with an indoor section is the safer bet.
- On fireworks nights (September 2, Lunar New Year) rooftops book out weeks ahead.
- Get a Grab. Most of these are a 10–15 minute ride within former District 1.
Social Club Rooftop Bar
The easiest one to plan around, because the hotel publishes everything.
- Address: 24th floor, Hôtel des Arts Saigon (MGallery), 76–78 Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai, Xuân Hòa (former District 3)
- Hours: Sun–Thu 3pm–midnight, Fri–Sat 3pm–1am
- Happy hour: daily 3–7pm, 50% off selected drinks by the glass, not on holidays or event days
- Dress code: smart casual
- Under-18s can stay until 9pm
- Cocktails roughly 280,000–350,000 VND
- There's an infinity pool on the same level
Going at 5pm gets you happy-hour prices and the sunset.
Saigon Saigon Rooftop Bar (Caravelle)
The Caravelle's bar has been around since the war years, when foreign correspondents drank here. It reopened in autumn 2026 after a renovation of almost four months. Vietnamese press describe the new look as disco and Art Deco, with the bar moved to the centre of the room.
- Address: Caravelle Hotel, 19–23 Công trường Lam Sơn, Sài Gòn (former District 1)
- Floor: 9th or 10th (sources differ)
- Hours: daily from 4pm until late (hotel website)
- Cocktail trolley 5:45–7:45pm; live band most nights from 8pm
- 5% service charge plus tax
- It's not high. You look over the Opera House and City Hall area rather than across the skyline.
Chill Skybar (AB Tower)
The most-listed rooftop in the city, and the one where sources disagree the most.
- Address: 26th floor (outdoor) and 27th floor (indoor), AB Tower, 76A Lê Lai, Bến Thành (former District 1)
- Hours: from 5:30pm into the early hours
- Happy hour: from 5:30pm
- Bar-counter seats have a minimum spend from 350,000 VND (venue website)
- Strictest dress code on this list: no flip-flops, no tank tops, no shorts for men. One January 2026 review said the door was relaxed, but don't count on it.
- Usually no entry fee. Some visitors report being charged one on weekends without a reservation.
- Quoted cocktail prices range from around 100,000 to over 500,000 VND depending on the source. Check the menu before ordering.
- After about 10pm it turns into a loud, club-style night. Go early if you want to talk.
Some lists put Chill Skybar in Bitexco Tower. It's in AB Tower.
Blank Lounge (Landmark 81)
On floors 75–76 of Vietnam's tallest building. Café by day, bar at night.
- Address: Landmark 81, 720A Điện Biên Phủ, Thạnh Mỹ Tây (former Bình Thạnh District)
- Hours: daily 9:30am–midnight, last order 11:30pm (official website)
- Getting up: enter through the Vinpearl hotel lobby, lift to 48, then change lifts to 75
- No entry fee; you just order. Coffee and juice around 120,000–200,000 VND, cocktails 160,000–350,000 VND
- Plus 10% VAT and 5% service
- 15–20 minutes by Grab from the centre
A drink here can cost less than a SkyView observation deck ticket in the same building. Daytime gives you the clearest view of the river bends.
Rex Rooftop Garden
Only five floors up, but it sits right over Nguyễn Huệ walking street and City Hall, and it's an easy stop if you're already in the centre.
- Address: 5th floor, Rex Hotel, 141 Nguyễn Huệ, Sài Gòn (former District 1)
- Hours: listed differently from site to site, so check with the hotel before going
Skip these for now
They still show up in older lists:
- AIR Saigon (formerly Air 360, Ben Thanh Tower): listed as under repair since February 2025 and as closed
- EON Heli Bar (Bitexco): one recent guide says closed, the official site still lists hours
- Glow Skybar, Level 23 (Sheraton), Momento: listed as closed in a September 2026 guide
For the Bitexco view without a bar, the Skydeck on the 49th floor charges about 240,000 VND.
Cheaper option
The View Rooftop above Bùi Viện (195 Bùi Viện, floors 8–9) is cheaper and doesn't care what you wear.
